Dusi Vineyard is a gem in the Zinfandel world. These vines were planted in the early 1920s. Head pruning and dry farming stress the vine, which creates intense and jammy fruit flavors.
Dusi Zin is a full-bodied wine. It is velvety and smooth with rich flavors that burst with each sip.
Zinfandels range in flavor from fruit forward, to spicy and peppery, while others are more earthy. The Dusi Zin has dried brambly raspberry and blackberry complimented by a dry earthy minerality.
Food Pairings: Goes well with BBQ pulled pork sandwich with cole-slaw and pickled watermelon salad. Acidity in the tomato sauce of a classic Italian spaghetti and meatballs (pork sausage, ground beef and ground veal of course) compliments Zinfandel well. Try with a Stilton Bleu or Sharp Cheddar.
